Streetlights, flashlights and other illuminating man made instruments makes the world conform to our wants and needs. Without these aids, the world becomes unfamiliar and primitive. I let go of this mentality of adaptation. I allow the world around me uninterrupted to continue. I come upon these landscapes as if a stranger on a foreign planet. I built a 4x5 camera out of wood with a plastic lens. The lenses were manufactured to have soft focus and aberrations unique to each camera. The controls are limited yet results are varied.     We Are Fleeting 2010. Inkjet Print
